Although I am generally a Henry James fan, these three short stories/novellas are in the "I don't get it" category. I just couldn't grasp what he was getting at, almost there but a bit too elusive for me. Overall I found 3 rather pathetic male chacacters and 3 very strong female ones. I'm sure that means something. Off into the world for some other BookCrosser to ponder the meaning.
