I found this hardcover at a local Savers thrift shop. It's a rather harrowing tale of a street-tough teen whose mother takes him to the country to try and save him from his increasingly criminal lifestyle; needless to say, things don't work out well for them, though it's not entirely the boy's fault. Some touching scenes when one of the few responsible adults in the story try to reach out to him, and a twisty little mystery that may have been committed by a little wild woman - or was that our drug-addled hero's imagination?

I left this book in the Little Free Library; hope someone enjoys it!
