Was going through my online bookshelf and realised that I had already read this!
This was my review from December 2006:
"This is the first PD James book I have read and I did enjoy it. Although I think I must have seen the TV adaption as the story seemed annoyingly familiar - not enough to remember whodunnit, but enough to create a weird sense of deja vu throughout it all!! It was a good plot, with enough real clues and red herrings to keep you guessing until the final few chapters. I'll definitely be tracking down some more of her work in the future."
