"Good evening, dear friend. I'm extremely pleased to see you, but I'm sure you'll understand why I can't give you my full attention. Joe Fortune is about to kill his father-in-law, and I've no intention of missing this long awaited event."
I was hooked from the moment I read the blurb on the back cover. I was lucky enough to see Mary Cavanagh speak at the London Bookcrossing convention, and knew this book would be excellent. Give it a go, you won't regret it!

Had the most lovely bookcrossing meetup lunch and come home with more than I took......

I was fascinated by the first first sentence on the back "Good evening, dear friend. I'm extremely pleased to see you, but i'm sure you'll understand why i can't give you my full attention. Joe Fortune is just about to kill his father-in-law , and i've no intention of missing this long awaited event.

...............

I enjoyed this book. It kept me rattling through to the end although i'd guessed some of it. The only thing that didn't compute for me is why Anna was so obsessed with Joe in the first place. But i can recognise the feeling of a crowded bed that arise from time to time.
