I got this handsome hardcover at a local Savers thrift shop. I enjoyed Henry's horse-themed books when I was a kid, and am glad to have a copy of this one, a classic, to release. It's based on the true events surrounding the annual roundup of wild ponies on Assateague Island, off the coasts of Maryland and Virginia, and about a particular foal that catches the eye of a boy... The illustrations are charming, and the story's good too.

I left this in the Little Free Library on the rail-trail on this warm afternoon. Hope someone enjoys it!
