Book burble: Kimmie’s home is on the streets of Copenhagen. To live, she must steal. She has learned to avoid the police and never to stay in one place for too long. But now others and trying to find her. And they won’t rest until she has stopped moving – for good.

Detective Inspector Carl Morck of department Q, the cold cases division, has received a file concerning the brutal murder of a brother and sister twenty year earlier. A group of boarding-school students were the suspects at the time – until one of their number confessed and was convicted. So why is the file of a closed case on Carl’s desk? Who put it there? Who believes the case is not solved?

Carl wants to talk to Kimmie, but someone else is also asking questions about her. They know she carries secrets certain powerful people want to stay buried deep. But Kimmie has one of her own. It’s the biggest secret of them all.
And she can’t wait to share it . . .

---------------------

By chance, a search among my book piles has unearthed Jussi Adler-Olsen books 1 to 3 from his Department Q series. However I was scratching around hoping I might have book 5, The Marco Effect (aka Buried) so I can fulfil a wish-list want for another bookcrosser. I recall I received these three Adler-Olsen novels in Spring 2017 (via the Red Kite Café, Edinburgh) from an especially ardent Spanish reader who was keen to have them travel.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

A pivotal new component of the in Department Q team arrives, and even before she is in place, she is a force to be reckoned. The cantankerous new PA Rose seems a bit of a rebel without a cause, what on earth is she going to do next we ask ourselves!
Another cracking read from Adler-Olsen a convoluted read spinning at a whirl. A hectic pace which kept me from querying the plausibility of some elements, still hold onto that thought hectic pace and try not to hold your breath while reading waiting for the other shoe to fall, that won’t end well. Thrilling I have Redemption, the next in series, to be getting on with soon – Yahoo!

Disgrace tootled off into the post on Wed 23 May and has arrived in Somerset ready to be place onto Mr F9’s book pile. I’ve no doubt this stands a good chance of migrating onto Flutterbies9 reading pile in time.
