A memoir of a girl whose mother had Munchausen by Proxy and carted her from one doctor to another, causing her to get unneeded treatments and even invasive surgery, presumably for attention, but who knows what motivates this kind of disorder.

It's sad that people didn't believe her when she eventually got the courage to speak up, but I have seen this kind of thing with my own eyes and I understand how hard it is to believe as well.
