I got this hardcover from a local thrift shop, for another release copy of this entertaining book. I've enjoyed several of Marzollo and Wick's picture-riddle books (not to mention Wick's own "Can You See" series). This one's got a "spooky" theme, obviously: it opens at the gates to a haunted mansion, and each page takes us farther inside: the house, the hallway, the library, a cupboard, a mad scientist's laboratory - and then, finally, backs us out into a child's bedroom, from which one hopes that all the spookiness was purely imaginary.

The reader is challenged to find specific items in each picture, and the scenes are so intricate and tricky that it can be quite hard to find everything. [It's possible that children would be better at this than adults, but I have to say I enjoy the challenge!]

I plan to leave this book on a bench in Greeley Park on this beautiful afternoon; hope the finder enjoys it!

My daughter and I we're walking through Greeley Park on this beautiful day and came across this book. This is definitely an exciting idea and we were very happy to come across it. We will be going out for ice cream and leaving it at our next stop for someone else to enjoy! We hope this book travels far and we are looking forward to see entries from others soon to see what the next stop on this book's journey!
