Picked up at last month's meetup - I think it was brought along unregistered by Chuckacraft?
A disturbing (but good) novel about two families that are falling apart, told mostly through the eyes of a pre-teen girl, who copes with the chaos around her by cutting. Interspersed are chapters from the point of view of a woman in the other family, whose coping mechanisms are more subtle, but equally self-destructive (as are those of pretty much all of the characters - it's not a happy book!). The lives of the two families intertwine in complex ways as they simultaneously fall apart.

Caught at the 2017 Unconvention.
I agree with Future Cat - not a happy book! A bitter divorcing couple, grieving mother, self-harming teen, demented grandmother, child abuse, dead puppies and kittens, suicide, ....
