1986 Avon paperback of the 1965 cop thriller. This was on my list of best older thrillers to read when I bought this copy some weeks ago for 10 cents from the sale shelf at Dimond Library.

Edit October 28, 2020: This started out as a good little thriller. But I just skimmed to the end. Although I did catch the nice ending twist. I currently have this ranked at #1298 on my ranked list of best-read books lately.
