Kris and Sandy are "my tribe" and I inhaled their story. It is moving, honest, and important. After reading the book, I feel as if I know them and that leads to an emotion I don't typically feel after reading a book -- pride in the authors. I am proud of Kris and Sandy: of their fight, of their place in LGBT history, of their sacrifices, and of their ultimate success. This is a triumphant memoir that celebrates the power of love and the ability of everyday people to bring about societal change.

I am adding this to the LGBTQ+ Mini-Bookbox.
Taken from the bookbox.
I am moving most of the books from my TBR to the my available shelf because I am in the process of moving and trying to avoid moving books! If I have time, I still plan to read these, but I'm getting them ready to travel if that happens first.
