I actually liked this one more than the first. A good suspenseful plot, though some of the characters' motivations weren't quite clear or believable enough.

Picked up at our annual Xmas Meet up, thanks for brining along.
This was my first Shardlake one even though it's number 2 in the series. I did like it a lot , fast paced and gripping and really brought that time period alive . Liked the character of Shardlake, Barak and of course Guy so will have to look out for the first book in series too.
