I got this paperback from the ongoing charity-sale shelves at a local Hannaford's. It's part of a high-fantasy epic, and this book opens with a human sacrifice to an immense, demoniac Beast - and only gets more intense from there. The final confrontation is highly dramatic, and the cast of characters interesting.
