I got this good-condition hardcover from the ongoing book sale at the Dracut MA public library. I've read a number of true-crime/forensic-pathology books, and look forward to this one. It blends the author's autobiography with a number of significant, sensational, and/or tragic cases, some of which he only became involved in decades after the fact. The exhumation of Lee Harvey Oswald was one such case - it was an attempt to debunk rumors that the body in the grave wasn't his. [Spoiler: it was - but of course that never stops the conspiracy-theorists.] More difficult was the case of a nurse suspected of killing a number of children. Several other cases are covered in depth, and the book gives a good picture of the tasks of a forensic pathologist.

I left this book on the bridge railing at the end of Pine St. where it connects to the Broad St. Parkway; hope the finder enjoys it!
