My least favourite of the Vampire Chronicles so far. It may have something to do with the fact that I've not read this one in some hot country with a pool or the sea for a view (I seem to have read the others as holiday reads), but mostly I think it's the topic. It's not I have anything against religion, some good friends of mine are regular church goers, but I just seem to switch off if a book goes on about it, and a good majority of this book looks at heaven and hell. Let's hope the rest of the series follows a different storyline.

I struggled with this one...... I enjoyed the beginning, with Roger and Dora, and the end of the book, but the religious God/Devil/ Creation/Heaven/Hell middle part I found very heavy going! (to the point that I deliberately skipped a few chapters!) Shame, as I normally enjoy Anne Rice books.....
