This book has been released for the 52 towns in 52 weeks 2017 challenge. St Neots is town #51 for me.

A beautifully written and an engaging story. A book of two parts - contemporary and historic. I found the first section more interesting than the second, which is set in Czechoslovakia in 1942 and felt similar to other books that I have read but that doesn't detract from the overall enjoyment to be had from this compact (242 pages) novel.

I am looking forward to a film out this month: The man with the iron hart . So I read this also!
