A long, basically silly book about (primarily) lawyers duking it out verbally in front of judges. A book with many industry facts for those who scare easily about carcinogenic fuel additives. Dismas Hardy is frantic when his usually reliable wife Frannie doesn't pick the kids up from school. Positive something terrible has happened, he contacts his best friend in the police department, Abe Glitsky. When it turns out Frannie was involved in the murder investigation concerning prominent scientist Bree Beaumont, Dismas must work hard to find and exonerate Bree's husband Ron - because only that can save Frannie from her predicament.
