I believe that the decision to reach back into the "long ago registered" pile was a good one.
I liked this book a lot - the writing style reminded me a lot of certain Spanish and Latin American authors (specifically Frederico Garcia Lorca and Gabriel Garcia Marquez). Being a former high school Spanish teacher this sort of thing impresses me.
The story of what a group of Americans living in Mexico go through over several years, and is very touching in places.....
