When Will There be Good News
3 journalers for this copy...
In a quiet corner of rural Devon, a six-year-old girl witnesses an appalling crime. Thirty years later the man convicted of the crime is released from prison.
In Edinburgh, sixteen-year-old Reggie, wise beyond her years, works as a nanny for a G.P. But her employer has disappeared with her baby, and Reggie seems to be the only person who is worried. Across town, Detective Chief Inspector Louise Monroe is also looking for a missing person, unaware that hurtling towards her is a former acquaintance – Jackson Brodie – himself on a journey that becomes fatally interrupted.

Kate Atkinson is one of those authors that seem to have grown on me as I never used to like her character of Jackson Brodie much but the way she so cleverly observes human nature is fantastic. I am still not a big fan of Brodie but will continue reading her books as I can't wait to find out what she comes up with next.

I love Brodie. So much I have read all the books he is in. Well I think so, as he is known to pop up unexpectedly !!!
I did read this one a few yearscback and whilst I would live to give it another go it may not get to top of TBR!!!
Adding it to the next VBB I intend to do in a few weeks time.
Chosen from the Shrinking VBB round 11
