I got this fair-condition hardcover from the ongoing book-sale at the Pelham NH library. It's an interesting variation on a lost-in-the-wilderness theme: a woman has gone hunting with friends in the Colorado mountains, but has not returned from her solo trek. Forest Ranger Pru is among the searchers - but as the days and then weeks go by with no sign of the missing Amy, the search efforts diminish. But Pru isn't ready to give up yet, and Amy's husband is desperate for word of her... Meanwhile, the readers get a different viewpoint of events, but without knowing whether Amy will survive her trials or whether the others will ever know her fate. Lots of wild-country scenes and a great deal of suspense!

I left this book on a bench outside the Subaru dealership; hope someone enjoys it!
