This little book was quite the gem. A plague wipes out most of humanity, leaving only an uneducated few on earth. In an area of what used to be San Francisco, a former University professor tells his grandsons how it all played out. And though there is no medical plague in real life wiping out the intelligentsia, there were definitely some astute and prophetic parallels.
