Max, maddened with rage, wreaked a brutal revenge on Marian, and Mart Leathers, the sheriff's deputy, intended to take care of Max personally for it.

My dad gave me a bag of books he's finished reading and planning on getting rid of and this one was among them. It's not really my style, though, so I'm planning on passing it on.
