From the back cover:
"1939. A winter so deadly people call it the white hell.
The inhabitants of a small Finnish town burn their cherished homes as they flee invading Russian troops. But one man refuses to leave: a simple woodsman named Timo.
In a landscape of burning fires and life-robbing cold, he is guided by an extraordinary instinct for survival. This is a tale of cowards, unexpected heroes and forbidden friendships, where nothing matters more than finding the path home."

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
releasing, as promised...
I enjoyed this but the felt that the style of writing was a bit awkward. Not sure if it is a problem with translation but it felt like the author was aiming for something a bit more beautiful and profound than he managed to create. I preferred True Deceiver by Tove Jansson which is a similar style.
To be released at York bookcrossing meetup at Brigantes.
