Journal Entry 1 by camis from Tharston, Norfolk United Kingdom on Tuesday, March 16, 2004
It was two days after Christmas when Kinsey Millhone received the bank slip showing a credit of five thousand dollars. The account number was correct but Kinsey hadn't made the deposit. Then came the phone call and suddenly everything became clear. The frame-up was working and Kinsey was trapped...

Another great thriller from Grafton - the books do seem to be improving through the alphabet. A quick, easy and enjoyable read.

Picked up at the Notts meet, as I would like to read all the books of the alphabet series of Sue Grafton. I have now A,B,C then E and F...better start looking for D then ;-)

This was a really good one! I enjoyed more than "D is for Deadbeat", maybe because the storyline was much scarier and the danger was all around Kinsey. I thought I had a fairly good idea of who could have been the culprit, but alas, I was very wrong! Unfortunately, there is no visit to Rosie's tavern here, nor much of Kinsey's charming and baking bread landlord, but there's a visit of Kinsey's former husband that gives us an insight in her life before the alphabet series... LOL! Thanks for sharing - I shall pass this on to someone who has it on their wishlist, if possible, otherwise I shall bring it to a meetup.
