"One of Thomas Hardy's most greatly loved and gentlest books, this is an unashamed idyll and picturesque portrait of the long-vanished pastoral society of early Victorian England. (...) As a humorous study of resistance to change, this novel will strike a chord with the modern day reader."

Thank you, Bookworm-lady, for this wonderful book! I 'm glad to offer it a temporary home on my bookshelf. Looking forward to reading it!
UPDATE:
This is one of the most "hyggelig" books I've ever read. Hardy's language is soothing and cozy. I loved the way he divided the story into 4 seasons.

If you aren't familiar with Bookcrossing, take a few minutes to check out this very cool site. Bookcrossers LOVE books, and more than anything, they love to read books and then set them free for other people to find and enjoy. I would love it if you would leave a journal entry -- you can say where you found the book or how you liked it when you read it.
