This trilogy was a quick and enjoyable read, just realised I didn't journal when I read them over the summer!

I am so glad I had the second book in this series, as it picks up from the first considerably. I was a bit disappointed by the first which felt like an endless introduction setting up the story.
As Kelley Armstrong is an author I generally really appreciate, my expectations were perhaps too high. This being said, I decided to take this second in the trilogy with me for a long train journey, and it was a good idea. Here the story finally takes off, the characters start to flesh out (and my reading of Rae's character proved right), the kids come into their own.
I couldn't help thinking about Clayton and Elena etc when Derek hesitated to get off the bus in Syracuse... wouldn't it be cool if their paths crossed? In this book I began to recognize the author I know and value. Added bonus, I actually have the third in what I think is a trilogy.
I am very grateful for this which has come in as an RABCK.
