A historical detective story featuring one of the characters from the author's popular Outlander series: Lord John Grey. But reading the other books is not necessary to enjoy this one.
I have to admit that I didn't like this one nearly as much as I liked the Outlander books. Someone who is more into detective fiction than I am would probably love it.
