Releasing book today to promote International BookCrossing Day.

I'm not much of a reader, I read a lot online, but I don't have a habit of picking up many books and reading. When I find something I want to read I love it but I never actively go out searching for a new book to read.

Yesterday, after work, I rushed to the train station like I always do after work, excited for the weekend and to my surprise on a fire extinguisher in Central Station I saw a book on top of the red cabinet.

At first I thought, "Someone has left their book behind" and I walked past it, but there was a post it not on the book that caught my eye as I was walking by that said "I'm free! I'm not lost". But I walked by anyway because my shoe lace was untied and I was trying to navigate my feet with out tripping over. When I stopped about 2 meters away to fix my shoe lace I immediately regretted not picking up the book. I'm a true believer in receiving "signs" and I thought to myself... "Go back and get it!! Please let it still be there" To my surprise, despite the amount of people who were there, it was in fact still there. I rushed back to the book, just like I was racing someone to get there first, but no one even flinched.

As soon as I grabbed it I read the post it note and open the cover where the BCID was on there, and read the sticker. "This is brilliant!" I thought. "What a clever thing to come up with!" I read the back of the book and I was interested straight away. On the train I tracked the book and noticed that some one had left it only 18 minutes earlier! And from Banyo of all places (I live in Zillmere).

I started to read the book and I am already half way through. I cannot put it down. I am so excited to track this book. I can't wait to see where it goes and what enjoyment it will bring everyone. I am going to start doing this with a few of my other books I love.

Left at Hervey Bay

I am from Germany. I am here for work and travel and on my way up the east Coast. Today we have just arrived in Hervey Bay and in the evening went for a stroll around the town. And there on a wall near the beach this book was lying. I heard about this before but i have never find one myself. I was very excited about it also because i am almost done with the book i am reading right now.. so Thanks :) might leave my book as well somewhere then
