I found some events a bit awkward, because the main character has not shown any development during the series. I read the first books when I was younger. I guess that is one reason I enjoyed the more. I am a bit frustrated with this genre of chick lit where the main character is obsessed with designer brands and is "adorably" lacking common sense. How about you got obsessed with quantum mechanics or something for a change Becky Brandon (née Blomwood)? That said, there were good and hilarious moments too. The book has value as a light reading, a kind of mind calibration tool. Kinsella is definitely one of the better chick lit writers and I might read the following Shopaholic books too.
