From the back cover: "...the most consummate writer of historical fiction today" - The Times. Ahem: For sure, Taylor's a good writer...but The Times has forgotten there's a big world out there with many authors writing in many languages! Anyway....having just finished a book about Bankside (south side of London's Thames River, where the Globe Theatre is), I couldn't resist this book. Also, there was a 2/$30.00 at Pearson Airport in Toronto. The other book I bought was a Jo Nesbo mystery, since we're on the way to Olso.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Basically a well written mystery using the Great Fire of London in 1666 as its background. History is part of the tale but finding the murderers leads to a romance. Personally, this is not the ideal format for a murder mystery but then again, I am not addicted to murder mysteries, preferring history and biographies. But that's me.
