long but enjoyable read with an ending i really didn't expect. this was one of those books that is long and very descriptive. you really get a sense of the area and the characters...but as it kept on i began to worry that it was one that, because much of it refers back to the hazy sketchy history of the castle and sisters, would leave me with no clear conclusion to many mysteries. i shouldn't have been worried as in the end, all was revealed and it was well worth the time reading and enjoying these characters.
