I read another copy of this book in 2016. This is what I wrote about it after I read it...

This book was very good because it's quite the page turner with all of its twists and turns. I rated it highly because of its ability to keep my interest up even though I had some issues with it.

First of all, there were three women (Rachel, Megan, and Anna) all telling their story in first person. Usually I hate this format, but the story was so good that the multiple points of view didn't bother me. What did bother me was that each of the three women seemed to have the same "voice". I had to keep looking at the chapter headings to remember who was talking.

Another issue I had was with a psychiatrist who visited his patient at home and kissed her. How unprofessional is that?! I know this is a novel, but I like novels to be more realistic.

(Note: SPOILER in the following paragraph...)
A last issue I had was the very end. I didn't see how Rachel could kill Tom with a corkscrew, but my husband said that was clearly possible. I didn't see how she could have had the strength to do that against Tom, but my husband again said that was possible.

I liked the story's point of view of seeing some of the action through a train window. I'll have to keep a closer eye on what's going on through the window from now on when I travel by train. Come to think of it, this would be a good book to bring along on a long train ride.
