SOMUCH
HYPE
I had a hard time getting into this book, simply because I had heard so many people rave about it. The writing was off-beat and quirky. The subject, yet another WWII novel. I kept picking this book up, rolling my eyes, and putting it back down.
Finally, about halfway thru the novel, something clicked and I was in it. The quirky characters grabbed and then broke my heart. Reading this through until the end? Absolutely worth it.
