Blue Pills: A Positive Love Story
3 journalers for this copy...
Fred met Cati one autumn summer night at a house party. Over the years their paths cross, until finally they connect together and fall in love. However, before they start getting intimate, a nervous Cati told Fred that both she and her son are HIV positive.
This is not a graphic novel, but a memoir, so it's gratifying to read the bio and see that he's still living with Cati and they even have a daughter together. Of course I love happy endings!
Now putting into the manga bookbox.

came back in my manga bookbox. this is a really good memoir-type graphic novel, very much in the vein of craig thompson's works (although this book predates thompson's most famous work, _blankets_). the artwork is great, the pacing is spot on, and the emotions are real but not maudlin. one of the best of its genre that i've read.

This came back in my manga & graphic novel book box.
This is the first book I pulled from the manga book box books and I am very pleased that it was. I have a fondness for memoirs and graphic novels. This is such a sweet story told fantastically through images. The story pacing moves at a good speed and the artwork is compellingly drawn. I felt pulled into the story from the first page.
I have to agree with spacedog that this is one of the best books in this genre that I have had the opportunity to read.
