The dialogue about her daughter's talent show was nauseating. Dance went on and on about how terrible all the other children were, and then about how great and talented her daughter was. Also the light weight references to the unsub and perps etc are pathetic Then the twist with her son at the end where he was actually "undercover" to bust the bad kids the whole time was quite a reach. You can illustrate you have good kids without going overboard to this extent. Made me roll my eyes and question whether I'd bother with another JD read
