Journal Entry 1 by 33shadow from Hewitt, Texas USA on Saturday, March 13, 2004
Fourteen short stories, all having to do with cats and mysteries. Not quite as good as her Koko and YumYum stories, but good nonetheless.

Journal Entry 4 by synergy from San Antonio, Texas USA on Saturday, May 29, 2004
I've always enjoyed the Lilian Jackson Braun Cat Who series. This book isn't with the characters from that series, but I still enjoyed it. Why is it, though, that there's so many stories with Siamese cats in this collection of short stories?? There was some interesting tidbits in here because some of these stories included "Oral History" short stories. For example, I'd never heard of a "blind pig." It appears that it was a phrase used to refer to bars which existed during Prohibition. The only name I knew for them was speakeasy. There was also a cute story about a little boy who kept insisting that he saw a strange-looking cat that made weird noises and descended in a ship. This reminded me of a movie whose name I can't remember, but that had a cat with a collar and was an alien. The short story I liked the most was "The Sin of Madame Phloi." I can't say a lot about it without giving something away other than it's the perfect example of why my husband says that you should be careful when you piss off a cat. It's likely to at least poop in your shoes when you're asleep. I loved the ending. :) Normally I do NOT like short stories at all. I like my stories long and fleshed out. This one, however, was a fun read.

Journal Entry 9 by tuff517 from Elk Grove Village, Illinois USA on Sunday, May 28, 2006
This was a cute little book. The stories were short, but interesting and didn't involve me having to bend my brain too far around talking cats. The cats involved themselves in quite catlike [read: troublesome] behavior. A quick, satisfying read. Just like a Snickers Bar.
