I must let you know that this story follows The Lace Reader but you do not need to read that story first. This can be its own story and does take place years after the first story ends. You will recognize some characters. That said, my review follows.
Wow! I truly loved reading every page of this book. It starts out with a murder, adds a touch of Salem witch, a stir of history and slowly stirs the bits and pieces to keep you guessing as you read and try and figure out what happened. The author did her research on Salem and I love that. I love reading about characters that I have quickly liked and even when the book ends, I still want to keep reading about them! I don't want to give away a single plot point. If you enjoy a good mystery, read this. I promise you will not be disappointed. If you are a fan of The Lace Reader, enjoy. This author is on my must read list. After reading this book, I think you will add her name to yours too.
