Interesting book with an open ending and a realistic description of life in the late 1600's for an unknown woman that arrives to Amsterdam. The characters unravel each other in a slow manner, proving that we all leave by assumptions that after careful analysis prove to be wrong. Multiple questions are left unanswered and the main mystery is not even spelled out. Just like the protagonist, the book takes its readers into accepting that life is a sea of unknowns that, nonetheless, are worth it.
