WILD RELEASE NOTES:
To be released at local bookcrossing meeting.
I claimed this book at today's meetup in Brookline, partly because it has a local setting and a local author, and in part to find out how a disappearing starship ties in to the plot! [Turns out I read another book by this author a while back, The House on the Bluff.]
Later: This one didn't hold my interest, in part because of the somewhat awkward romance subplots. The narrative felt awkward too, with too much telling-rather-than-showing of the characters' feelings and motivations. There's an old-style pulp-fiction feel to the story that was rather fun, but it wasn't enough to keep me riveted. Perhaps someone else will enjoy the book.

I left this book in the Little Free Library today - hope someone enjoys it! (I was pleased to see this LFL on the map for Ridgefield; my family lived there for a few years back in the late '70s, and I haven't been back since then.
