I really enjoyed the Peg Sutherland story, a well-written novella. The characters were quickly established and fleshed out. In fact, I was a little surprised when the story ended, just because of the length. It was so good that I'd forgotten it wasn't a novel in itself until I reached the last page. And have tissues handy for those last pages, because I cried.
The other two stories were ok, they just didn't quite live up to the first one.
