But Indigo Tea Shop owner Theodosia browning feels far from festive when the inaugural Poet’s Tea is forces into one of the Heritage society’s austere halls by rain. Worse yet, it looks like someone helped him over the edge. With a full kettle of suspects, Theodosia pursues an investigation into the murky swamps of the Low Country, where she uncovers a thriving criminal enterprise of art forgery, fraud-and murder…

CAMOMILE MOURNING continuous the pleasing, cosy, tea themed murder mysteries set in the USA’s Charleston in South Carolina. Theodosia an intelligent and sharp-minded ex-marketing executive negotiates the potentially lethal effects of her own curiosity when yet again another corpse appears suddenly at an event within her social circle. Our favourite generously hearted and stylish southern woman ends up interfering in police business once again order to save her friends further trauma, by looking for answers to question the police are reluctant to ask, because they have no evidence to validate pursuing these lines of enquiry. It’s all an increasingly tricky business as of course it’s highly likely that someone within said social circle actually did commit the murder.

This further whirl round the investigatory round-a-bout sees Theodosia and her current beau, lawyer Jory Davis, falling out over her unofficial involvement in a police matter as he’s both getting pressure from his boss to call Theodosia and tell her to back off and he’s worried about her safety. But which of these two issues Theodosia begins to wonder is the biggest driver for his concern! An entertaining mystery with a cosy background life-style, which sees our honourable heroine and her intrepid canine come through a tense meander down some treacherous paths, unscathed and triumphant and well supported by her friends!
