Thank you for this great RABCK, Flambard! This audiobook was my first personal mail at the new flat, and it arrived just at the right time, too! I'm spending today and tomorrow reassembling shelves and filling them up with books again, and since I don't have WiFi at the new address yet, I'm very grateful for some listening entertainment that I don't have to dig through boxes for. :)
Listened to this today while caring for houseplants and sowing vegetable seeds in the sun room. Really very well done for a radio dramatisation! I enjoyed it a lot. Hopefully I'll be able to pass this on inside the BookCrossing community.
This goes to the winner of the "You've Got Mail" sweepstakes. Hope it brightens your day! :)
Received this as part of the You've got snail mail sweeps. Thank you I'll listen to this soon. Sorry I didn't register right away, it got lost on my table.
Sent to the winner of the Happy Day sweeps! Enjoy you lucky winner!
Sorry, didn't have time to listen to this. I'm not a big mystery fan but have sent it on to someone who is.
Received in an uber package of gifts for the Happy Days Sweeps! OMG, I am still overwhelmed by your largesse, bossmare. Besides this audio-book, to which I plan to listen, are postcards, a notepad, bookmarks, tea, and so much more. I do love mysteries and have never read Raymond Chandler before so it will be exciting to discover this story (and probably the first of many of his, too). Thanks again.
Not a big fan of audiobooks to begin with as they tend to put me to sleep, and the quality of the recording made it difficult to understand.
But it is old school gumshoe detective 'reading' at its best.
Thanks, though, bossmare for the book.
