A fictionalised account of Simon Bolivar's final days. Atmospheric and educational, but I can't say I liked it that much. Nothing interesting really happens or is said, and the reverential attitude to the revolutionary general bugged me a bit. (I've since found out that, yes, he was a considerably more flawed character.)
