Journal Entry 3 by gaysocialworker from Chicago, Illinois USA on Monday, August 16, 2004
Received yesterday by mail. While I haven't heard much about this book, I'll admit that I was amused by the title, 3 Dollars (ie. queer as a three dollar bill). TBR

Journal Entry 4 by gaysocialworker from Chicago, Illinois USA on Sunday, August 28, 2005
From amazon.com... Winner of The Age Book of the Year in Australia, Three Dollars is about Eddie, an honest, compassionate man who finds himself, at the age of thirty-eight, with a wife, a child, and three dollars. At any other time the world would have smiled on him. But this is the nineties and the world values other things. A brilliantly deft and poignant portrait of a man attempting to retain his humanity, his family, and his sense of humor in a corporate world. Both depressing and comic, this book was a real treat. I can't believe I let it sit on my shelf this long--one year! The book is a bit dry in the beginning... but give it time. It's a worthy read. Sending to cougmax in Washington state, who accepted the offer in the "Journal Entry Karma" relay on bookrelay.com. Enjoy!
