Harcourt School Publishers Trophies: On Level Individual Reader Grade 3

A story close to my heart about two brothers who get to attend a World Series Baseball Game (Spring Training starts today!) with their Mom and Dad to see the Yankees and the Mets play. As the game begins, while the crowd is standing to sing the Star Spangled Banner, the famous American Bald Eagle "Challenger" (beautiful Eagle illustrations in this book...among others) was seen flying over the Stadium. My two boys, who were both Baseball and Soccer Players, as well as Boy Scouts when they were young, are my "Eagles", and two incredible human beings!! I'm releasing this book at the Eagle Ramada at Red Mountain Park in memory of my oldest son (today 2/24 would be his birthday), and also in my Nephew's memory, who was like another Brother to my Son, and a Son to me. He attended a school nearby before his death. His Birthday would have been on Valentine's Day, the Day my oldest Son was due many years prior to my Nephew's birth. I believe Heaven must be a very crowded place.

I am releasing this book in memory of Becky (BC screen name N-R-Jyzer), ResQgeek's daughter, who was killed on 30 August 2010 when she was struck by a car while riding her bicycle. She would have celebrated her "Sweet Sixteenth" birthday on Valentine's Day this year (2017). During each of the last six years, this Release Challenge has been held in order to remembered her and celebrated her short life by releasing books in her memory.
