CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
a wishlist book. Enjoy!
Thank you so much NancyNova for sharing this with me. This is such an oddball book I have it on my wishlist for a while.
My love affair with rubber duck started when a Dutch artist made a giant rubber duck and displayed it in Hong Kong, my hometown. (For pictures, just google Rubber Duck Hong Kong.) The duckie dwarfing all the boats and buildings is such a cute and endearing image, and I think I came cross mention of this book while I google for more of the duck's picture.
Thank you again for sharing this book!

The author learned about a shipping accident where a cargo of bath tub toys fell overboard in the Pacific, and his curiosity prompted him to leave his pregnant wife to go around the globe searching for the cheery rubber duckies. He travelled up and down the coastlines, out onto the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, across the globe to toy factories in China. He learned more about plastic, and how it's endangering our environment.
I don't know if everybody will find it as fascinating as I do, but I totally enjoy reading the book. Dear Nancy, thanks so much for sending it to me as a RABCK!

Urgh I didn't know how I wasn't logged in, I think it's a glitch after the update, that we occasionally get kicked out. And I couldn't delete the previous post under AF, whether I log in or not.
Anyway, thanks again Nancy for the book. I will reserve it for the Books about things bookbox.
