Thank you for my lovely parcel which cheered me up.
This looks a fun book.
This looks a fun book.
This is quite an easy read. Mystery and humour combined.
I wouldn't particularly choose another in the series but if one came my way I would probably read it.

Sending as a surprise wishlist RABCK.
Many, MANY thanks for your surprise RABCK box dolph1n. So, kind of you to take the initiative and post these four books my way. Most appreciated!
How delightful that you sent me THE HEN OF THE BASKERVILLES book 15 of the whacky Meg Langslow series by DONNA ANDREWS. A ridiculously fun and light offering from Andrew’s whimsical pen. I have been following this series in a haphazard way since (tiny pause for a rummage to date that but no swift find, sadly, let’s say a few years. Now I have the hang of it I may read this out of sequence and pass it onto another reader who’s been enjoying these with me. (You, no doubt dolph1n, will easily be able to guess the name of this next BookCrossing reader.)
The accompanying Trilogy PETER MAY’s LEWIS TRILOGY has been recommended to me by more than a few BookCrossers so how lovely to have an already registered, boxed set of BookCrossing volumes to read.
Oh, and delightful to see that THE HEN OF THE BASKERVILLES has tootled round the bookshelves of five other BookCrossers before finding a cheery welcome on my bookstacks. So, HELLO to Tamamo – HerbertLooby – mysteriousmummy – Poodlesister – dolph1n – Cheers from rainbow3!

Already with it's intended recipient who is kindly holding off making a 'caught' journal entry till I have officially made a 'release' journal entry! Book 4 of an ADVENT CALENDAR OF BOOKCROSSING BOOKS SENT TO SOMERSET. Admittedly, an oblique and awkward link toward the festive dining table, but again, was I going to be able resist?
FESTIVE GREETINGS from rainbow3. 😃
FESTIVE GREETINGS from rainbow3. 😃
An exceedingly late journaling of the parts of the Advent Calendar of Books received in December 2021. Apologies rainbow3, these have been awaiting journaling for ages, forgotten about, remembered again, forgotten again and only now have finally I got around to these!
and again, I suspect this one may not be too long on tbr especially as we are going on a journey in the very near future. an easy read book will be very welcome and I even have a plan for this one in the future ......

Well, I did not take this one with us on our journey but left it at home to read. Now I have done that too so 1 more off tbr mountain.
I know this author and the Meg Langslow series (I have read a number of them and not always in series order) so knew what to expect and I was not disappointed. The amount of detail about organising a fair was tremendous so the research really shows in this book, and the cosy type plot (though rather far fetched in this book), was cosy enough to feel comfortable with as a very easy read. The change in Meg's personal circumstances was noted as I will no doubt read more of these when and where I come across them, though probably out of order again!
My original idea for this book is no longer valid so I shall make it available for now and move it on as and when I can.
