'DON'T PANIC: DOUGLAS ADAMS AND THE ''HITCH-HIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY'''
2 journalers for this copy...
Neil Gaiman writing about Douglas Adams and the story behind the person and the 'Hitchhiker' phenomenon. What could be better!
(16/01/17) I had forgotten I had this. Unfortunately despite the abovementioned dream team this isn't a great book. I don't know maybe Gaiman (or me?) are too invested as fans of H2G2 to make it light and funny? It did however come across as melancholic (which DA would appreciate I think), particularly his constant battle with writers block and deadlines. Despite the aching chronological detail and quote overkill I enjoyed being re-acquainted with the Adams universe.
This was a reissue from 1993...I'm sure there are better and different biographies out there. Will pass this on to a fellow fan. Enjoy :)

Sent to a bookcrossing friend in Ely, with a bonus Adams book, The Deeper Meaning of Liff with John Lloyd (she's a fan!)
Enjoy :)

Thank you, BookGroupMan! Don't Panic has arrived with me safely and is now on the top of Mount TBR!
ETA: Thanks also for The Deeper Meaning of Liff!

Published in 1987 and this updated version in 1993. A wonderful biography, almost autobiography with the direct quotes from Douglas Adams himself. Made more poignant when you come upon anything that mentions the future, e.g. further Dirk Gently novels. It fired some of my creative juices as well, which is never a bad thing! Thanks again, Tony.
