This showed up on my doorstep today, but I did not think there was mail delivery today. Ha! Maybe it went to a neighbor by mistake and they put it at my door?

Anyhow, thank you so much for this wishlist tag book, spoiledrotten! I am looking forward to reading it and hope to get to it before too long. Thanks!

I'm glad I read this and there were parts of it that were very compelling: descriptions of Paris, anecdotes about Gertrude Stein, a narrative of an eventful trip that Hemingway took with F. Scott Fitzgerald, etc.

It's worth knowing, however, that this is in essence a manuscript that was published posthumously, rather than a completed work. As such, it is a series of vignettes more than it is a well-formed memoir. To get the most out of reading it, I think it's best to be aware of that going into it so you know what to expect.

I just found this today. I was taking a walk at lunchtime with my friend, we walked by the bus shelter and just happened to see this book. This isn't our normal walking route. I've never heard of Book Crossing before. What a cool idea. But the best part is, it brought me comfort. I lost my dad last month and his first name was Ernest. So seeing an Ernest Hemingway book gave me goosebumps. I will definitely give it a try. Thank you Really Bookish. You don't know how much comfort you brought me.
