A coming of age book. Evelyn is a young girl being raised by a single mother. Despite her cicumstances, she is able to overcome the adversities of adolescence. A believable story. I found myself rooting for Evelyn.

I really enjoyed this book. There's not really a big pivotal point, but I loved the story of Evelyn. It reminded me a lot of my own life growing up.
